Everything You Need to Know About SAMIOTI Project: A Handmade FAQ
Everything You Need to Know About SAMIOTI Project: A Handmade FAQ
Many of you ask me how a preschool teacher found herself surrounded by yarn, needles, fabrics, and sewing patterns. Or how a seemingly ordinary piece of fabric can be transformed into an elegant handmade bag.
So, I gathered your most frequently asked questions—not as a formal FAQ, but as a personal tour through my creative studio.
1. Why choose handmade over fast fashion?

In a world driven by mass production, SAMIOTI Project chooses a slower, more meaningful approach.
Every bag and accessory you discover here is handcrafted—not factory-made. Each piece is cut from patterns I’ve designed myself and carefully assembled by hand with attention to every detail.
When you choose handmade, you’re not simply purchasing an accessory—you’re investing in craftsmanship, authenticity, and a story that only human hands can create.
2. What does your Zero Waste philosophy actually mean?
For us, nothing goes to waste.
Working with children taught me that even the smallest leftover material can become the beginning of something beautiful.
Every fabric scrap is thoughtfully repurposed into jewelry, home décor, or new creative projects, allowing us to minimize waste while giving new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded.
3. Why is crafting so relaxing?
Creating with your hands has a unique way of slowing life down.
Watching a simple thread become something beautiful is, for me, the ultimate form of mindfulness.
During our workshops, I see people leave the stress of everyday life at the door. As soon as they begin weaving, sewing, or creating, they reconnect with themselves.
Creativity is peaceful. It’s our way of pressing pause.
4. Are your workshops only for creative or experienced people?

Not at all!
Our workshops—for adults as well as our Little Creators (ages 9+)—are built around curiosity, creativity, and the freedom to experiment without fear of making mistakes.
You don’t need any experience in sewing, knitting, or crafting.
All you need is the willingness to create, explore, and enjoy the process. We’ll guide you step by step.
5. Can I request a custom-made piece?
Absolutely!
That’s one of the greatest joys of working in a creative studio.
If you have a specific color palette, material, or idea in mind, I’d love to hear it. Every custom project is a collaboration, allowing us to create something that’s uniquely yours.
6. Why are your collections limited edition?

Because true uniqueness can’t be mass-produced.
Many of the fabrics I source are rare, vintage, or available in very limited quantities—sometimes enough for only two or three bags.
Once a fabric is gone, it’s gone. Each collection naturally evolves into the next creative idea.
7. Can I book a private workshop with my friends?
Of course!
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a relaxing and creative experience together, we can organize a private workshop tailored exclusively to your group.
Let’s create something beautiful together in my studio.
8. Can you organize creative activities for children at my location?
I’d be delighted to.
Drawing on my experience as an early childhood educator, I can bring the creative world of SAMIOTI Project directly to your home or event.
Children explore textures, fabrics, and yarn while creating their own handmade projects in a fun, engaging environment—perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or special gatherings they’ll always remember.
9. Can I order a custom creation in my own colors?
I’d love to create it with you.
If you’ve imagined a specific color combination, pattern, or design that reflects your personality, simply complete the Custom Projects form.
We’ll discuss your ideas together and bring your vision to life.
10. How long does it take to create my handmade order?
Handcrafting takes time, patience, and attention to detail.
If your chosen item is already in stock, it will be shipped immediately.
For made-to-order creations, production usually takes 5–10 business days, depending on the complexity of the design.
Throughout the entire process, I’ll keep you informed about the progress of your handmade piece.
